Protected Trees

There are three ways in which a tree may be protected.

  • It may be protected by a Tree Preservation Order.
  • It may be located within a designated Conservation Area.
  • It may be protected by a specific provision made as part of a Planning Consent.

Please contact our Landscape Architects to find out whether any of these restrictions apply to any tree you are considering disturbing in any way.

Large scale operations in excess of 5 cubic metres of timber are governed by Felling Licences issued by the Forestry Commission, Galashiels Office at Wheatlands Road, Galashiels TD1 2HQ. Tel 01896 750222.
