Waste Awareness: community partnerships
We are developing a network of community partners – often not-for-profit organisations – whose activities help reduce waste. They work in many different ways. It might be that they can help you reduce the waste you create in the first place or perhaps they can help you find someone else who can use something you no longer need. Both options mean less waste will end up in landfill. This is how our partners help:
Charity shops
These can give your unwanted clothes, books and household items a second lease of life. Please consult the Generous Scottish Borders charity guide for locations of charity shops in your area.
ASK Organic
The Composting experts in the Borders will answer your home composting questions by phone or email and help you get the best out of your compost. You can also visit the compost demonstration area at the Woodside Walled Garden, near Harestanes, north of Jedburgh. WRAP

Borders Scrap Store

Berwickshire Furniture Restoration Co Ltd
