Southern Upland Way
The Southern Upland Way was Britain's first official coast-to-coast long distance footpath. It runs 212 miles (340kms) from Portpatrick in Dumfries and Galloway to Cockburnspath here in the Scottish Borders. The Way includes both some very long and demanding stretches and some shorter, easier walking through superb, varied countryside.
Walkers in the Scottish Borders will be particularly interested to note that a new booklet has been published recently: Short Walks on the Eastern Section of the Southern Upland Way. A copy may be downloaded as a *.pdf file from this web site. Downloadable Version of the new booklet.
Please note that you need Abode Acrobat Reader on your computer to do this.
More information can be found on the official web site.
