Borders Abbeys Way
The Borders Abbeys Way is a route linking the four great ruined Borders Abbeys in Kelso, Jedburgh, Melrose and Dryburgh; and also including the towns of Hawick and Selkirk. The full route is approximately 109km/ 68 miles in length.
The route has been opened in stages over the last few years. The route is way-marked throughout, in both directions, with an 'AW' symbol denoting 'Abbeys Way'. Leaflets are available to download for all five stages:
The route has been developed by Scottish Border Paths. Scottish Border Paths is a project supported by Scottish Enterprise Borders, Scottish Natural Heritage, VisitScotland Borders and Scottish Borders Council.
