Drugs
A drug is a plant or chemical which can change, a person’s behaviour, their state of mind and the way their body works. They can be taken in four different ways: Swallowed – as a fluid or tablet, where it is taken into the stomach and then absorbed into the bloodstream; Injected – directly into the bloodstream, into a muscle or under the skin; Smoked – where the drug contained in the smoke is taken into the lungs and then enters the bloodstream; Snorted – where the drug is sniffed up the nose and passes through a tiny layer of skin called the membrane and passes into the bloodstream.
