Message from Glenn Rodger, Director of Education and Lifelong Learning:
Following a consultation with all Headteachers on behalf of the SSPG, the May INSET day will be reinstated to enable schools
to plan effectively for the school improvement planning process.
I can now advise that the Inset dates for the 2008/09 session are as shown below.
The dates for the 2009-10 session will be available shortly but we expect to follow this five day pattern of inset days in
the future: one day in August, two in November, one in February and the final one in May.
2008-09
August 18th 2008 - Monday
November 13th 14th 2008 - Thursday, Friday
February 13th 2009 - Friday
May 5th 2009 - Tuesday
