Most archives are unique and irreplaceable
It is vital that every effort is made to preserve them. Documents are kept in an air-conditioned strongroom and only pencil
may be used by researchers to minimise the risk of damage to documents
We welcome archive donations
We are always pleased to hear from people who have documents, maps, photographs etc. on the Scottish Borders and are willing
to gift them or deposit them with us.
