Reader Groups

There are a number of Readers Groups throughout the region. These are informal groups that meet to discuss titles they have read recently.  New members are always welcome.

Kelso Library Readers' Group

This very lively group meet on the last Tuesday in the month at 2.30pm in Kelso Library.  The meeting is very informal and all are welcome.  Further details , contact Ruth at Kelso Library, (01573 223171) or e-mail Kelso Library.


Peebles Library Readers' Group

Peebles Library Readers Group meets roughly once a month at 7:30pm in the Library.
The group reads the same book and discusses it that their next meeting. 
Paperback copies of the book are purchased from a local bookshop (Whitie's) with a 10% discount.
The Group also provided a team for the World Book Day Quiz in Hawick Library and it is hoped to undertake further outreach events.
Nibbles, wine and soft drinks are provided with members contributing £1 if they have something.

Selkirk Library Book Group

Selkirk Library Book Group meet in the library, generally on the first Monday of the month at 7.00 p.m.
The  group reads the same book, using library stock and discusses it at their meeting.
Tea/coffee and a biscuit are provided by group members.

Duns Library Book Group

Duns Library hosts a reading group on the first Wednesday of the month in the library between 11-12.30pm.  The group reads the same book and discusses it at their next meeting.
