Life in the Borders

Mobile Libraries and Housebound Service

Mobile Libraries

There are 6 mobile libraries providing library services to the rural villages and farms in the Borders on a two or three week rotation.  They also provide a housebound service, taking books to readers in their own home,  for those who are unable to visit their local library.

If you need a home visit from a Mobile Library please contact Library Headquarters at St Mary's Mill.

St Mary's Mill, Level Crossing Road, Selkirk. TD7 5EW.  Telephone 01750 20842

Information on mobile library routes and stop times has been removed from our website temporarily for checking and updating.  We apologise for any inconvenience, but in the meantime, please contact Library Headquarters for details.  Staff there will be able to tell you if a mobile library stops near you.
