Write On! Children's Writing Competition - read the winning entries here!
Winning entries - Primary 5, Primary 6, Primary 7
Write On! was organised by SBC Libraries in conjunction with the Borders Book Festival. Children from P5,6 and 7 sent in a wide range of short stories to be judged, and the winners were presented with their prizes of medals, certificates and books at the Festival. Children's writer Eleanor Updale presented the winners and runners-up, as well as reading the winning stories, and commented that the standard was very high compared to similar writing competitions she has been involved in. The competition has now been running for 2 years and attracts entries from across the Borders. Ask your teacher to watch out for details next year!
