Summary
From 1st April 2009, if the combined rateable value of your business properties in Scotland is less than £15,000, the Small Business Bonus Scheme may apply and a relief of between 25% and 100% may be available. This is an increase on the previous year where the relief available was between 20% and 80%. Further information is available from the Scottish Government website (please note this is an external website). There is also a Small Business Bonus Scheme leaflet available (please note this is also a link to an external website).
To apply for relief under the Small Business Bonus Scheme, complete the application form by downloading it, printing it out, and filling it in. Then you should return it along with any supporting information to your nearest contact centre, or send it direct to the Rates Team at the following address-
