Reporting a Change of Circumstances

Change in your Circumstances

To make sure the right person is charged Council Tax at the right rate, it is essential that the Council is kept informed of any changes in the circumstances of the adults (aged 18 or over) living in a property.

If there have been any changes in your circumstances, for instance if someone new has moved in, or out then please let us know. It means we can see if you are entitled to money off your Council Tax. There are many reasons for discounts and you should read through the discounts section for further info.

If you are getting Housing and/or Council Tax benefit you must notify us of any change in your circumstances.

To tell us about a change contact your Local Contact Centre in person, in writing, by telephone or by email.
