We routinely test weighing and measuring equipment used for trade to ensure its accuracy. New and repaired equipment for trade use has to be tested to ensure it is accurate before it is put into use or after it has been repaired. We also operate a metrology laboratory and provide a calibration service for testing standards of mass, volume and length traceable to national standards. We have 'Approved Body' status under the Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments (EEC Requirements) Regulations 1995.
