Social Enterprise Initiative
The Social Enterprise Initiative is the funding arm of the Social Enterprise Group. It is funded by the European Union, Scottish Borders Council and Scottish Enterprise Borders in partnership with Borders Councils for Voluntary Service, Heriot Watt University and Scottish Borders Rural Partnership.
The Initiative is exploratory in nature and aims to integrate, co-ordinate and augment the resources currently available to encourage social enterprises to develop. Initiative funding is for:
- seminars/ events
- subcontracting seminars
- grants for individuals or groups towards attending and holding social enterprise developmental events
