Social Enterprise Group
The Social Enterprise Group was established in early 2002 and by early 2003 had formalised its remit:
- Discussion of strategies and support mechanisms for social enterprise
- Consultation point for new government papers on social enterprise
- Networking and exchange of best practice
- A point of contact for people interested in social enterprise
- Sounding board for anyone with new ideas or activity in this area
- Disseminating information to others.
Meetings are open to those interested and you are welcome to attend and/ or receive the meeting notes.
The Group formally ties in with the ‘Thriving Organisations’ part of New Ways and members are also involved with other aspects of New Ways, for example Vibrant Communities.
