Scottish Borders Council plays a key role in the provision of business accommodation, with over 260 workshop units and 40
shop premises throughout the Borders. We provide advice and assistance on industrial and commercial premises 
for incoming investors, existing company expansion and new start-up businesses. Our role includes constructing new industrial
premises as well as leasing, selling and servicing industrial land. We are also generally responsible for directory board signs and landscaping in industrial sites and manage some caravan sites.
The Council administers the largest portfolio of industrial premises in the area. These are promoted through bi-monthly property lists, issued by the Estates Management service of Technical Services. The property lists provide a comprehensive guide to all vacant property available in the Scottish Borders, including those owned by other agencies and private individuals.
