Industrial Estates: Landscaping
Within industrial areas the landscaping is mainly maintained by the Council. Generally, newer industrial areas have native trees planted to separate, shelter and screen buildings. Small woodland strips are also planted for their amenity value and to provide wildlife corridors. The Council’s Amenity Services - Parks & Open Space section maintains the planting on around 43 separate industrial sites held by the Economic Development section throughout the region. Other structure planting has been developed which form community woodlands, for example, at Gunsgreenhill in Eyemouth.
For any issue on grounds maintenance within these areas, please contact the Principal Officer (Implementation) on 01835 824000 ext. 5412 or the External Works Officer in the Parks & Open Spaces section on 01896 754751 ext 2665 or email us.
