Our school's library service is based at our Selkirk headquarters. We provide collections of resources to support the curriculum tailored to individual requests from primary school teachers.

The project loan collection provides a service to primary schools:

  • teachers can request a box of resources to support the Curriculum
  • resources covering a wide range of topics are held, including a collection to support eco-schools
  • resources are mainly books, with a limited selection of posters, CD-Roms and videos
  • boxes are delivered and collected by the service wherever possible at the beginning and end of each term, although this cannot be guaranteed.

School Library Services collections including picture and story books, are also available for

  • nurseries
  • playgroups
  • Parents as Early Educaton Parnters groups
  • pre-school groups.

Staff are happy to advise on primary school library and reader development.

Each secondary school has a school library resource centre run by a professional librarian, which serves the school community.
