Household survey
The household survey provides us with indicators of customer satisfaction to inform the Single Outcome Agreement and is a key mechanism for measuring performance against agreed local outcome indicators.
The 2010/2011 Scottish Borders Council household survey asked for views on:
- life in the Borders
- customer contact with Scottish Borders Council
- information about the Council and its services
- community safety
- Internet access
- shopping habits
- local decision making.
A survey of 6,000 residents took place in July 2010, of which 2,600 responded resulting in a response rate for this survey of 43%. The number of responses received is statistically significant to a good level at both Borders and Area Committee levels and results can be used with confidence.
On the whole trends in satisfaction levels have remained consistently positive; significant, encouraging, changes have been seen in several areas.
