Single outcome agreement
On 28th May 2009, we submitted a Single Outcome Agreement (SOA) for the Scottish Borders to the Scottish Government.
Working closely with community planning partners, the current SOA focuses on the key priority improvement areas for the Borders and highlights the areas where concerted partnership effort is required.
The SOA presents an area profile for the Borders - facts and figures about the area, key trends etc.
After that, it presents a set out outcome that partners want to focus on e.g. "There is a reduction in alcohol problems amongst young people and adults".
These priority outcomes then have Performance Indicators that sit underneath them, indicators that let you know what progress is being made e.g. Number of alcohol related deaths.
By monitoring things on a regular basis, it will be possible to see if the work being done by public sector partners is having an impact.
