Business rates, also known as non-domestic rates are a tax on the occupation of a business property.
If you own a business anywhere in the UK, it is likely that you will have to pay business rates (officially called national non-domestic rates); these are the way in which businesses and other occupiers of non-domestic property contribute towards the costs of local authority services.

All questions about the rateable value of your property should go to the Assessor on 01835 825100.
If you think you have been incorrectly charged, and it has nothing to do with the valuation of you property, then appeal in writing to the Customer Services Manager, within 28 days of receiving your bill.
