The Consolidated Structure Plan provides the long term vision and strategy for the Scottish Borders.
Consolidated Local Plan
The Consolidated Local Plan sets out detailed policies and proposals for the development and use of land to guide planning decisions.
OLDP Guidance Note
We are required to prepare a Development Plan for our area. This plan must be updated every five years.
The Development Plan sets out how places should change, where development should be directed and what places could be like in the future. It sets out land use allocations including:
- housing
- employment
- mixed use
- redevelopment
- schools
- and protects the areas of value.
Current Development Plan
The existing Development Plan consists of the Consolidated Structure Plan and the Consolidated Local Plan.
