A great day out for all the family

Near Jedburgh and with a great play park, there's plenty to do at Harestanes, whatever the weather.

From beautiful countryside walks to events and exhibitions there's always something new to discover.

2012 marks the visitor centre's 20th anniversary, so come along and help celebrate one of the Borders' best-loved attractions!

Our 2012 events brochure is available to download.

Great coffee and delicious scones

Savour the taste of freshly-ground FairTrade coffee, the perfect accompaniment to Gill Orde's delicious traybakes and fresh scones, in the relaxed setting of the recently refurbished Café.

Walking and cycling

Discover the beauty of the local countryside on foot and in the saddle. Harestanes lies on St Cuthbert's Way, one of the country's most popular long-distance paths.

A network of quiet public roads provides plenty of choice for cyclists, including the 55 mile '4 Abbeys Cycle Route' which passes through Harestanes.

Group visits and room hire

Visitor centre staff are available to assist visiting schools and groups with outdoor topics. Room available to hire for birthday parties, meetings and training events. Contact the visitor centre for more details.
