New Earth Solutions
We are delivering a waste treatment plant, for the region, to divert the majority of collected domestic and commercial residual waste (black bin waste) away from landfill.
The cost of the solution is cheaper than the cost of land filling waste and the associated Landfill Tax.
We are currently at the forefront of new waste treatment solutions in Scotland, in procuring a facility to help meet the EU Directives and the targets of the Government's Zero Waste Plan.
We are working in partnership with a private sector supplier - New Earth Solutions who will build and operate the new facility.
Location
The new facility is to be located at Easter Langlee, on a former landfill site, adjacent to the current recycling yard and south of the current Community Aggregate Recycling Centre access road.
