A delightful event that gives both novice and experienced cyclists the opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery around
the 4 Abbeys of the Scottish Borders and raise money for vulnerable children.
Gather a group of enthusiastic friends, family or work-mates, or simply take up the 4 Abbey's Cycle challenge yourself!
Choose one of two superb routes:
-
55-Mile Challenge - Taking in the 4 Abbeys: Melrose, Jedburgh, Kelso and Dryburgh, the route comprises 55 miles of scenic
terrain. Don't let the distance put you off - it's a beautiful ride and you can take all the time you like! (Difficulty: Moderate)
-
11-Mile Family Meander - A charming 11-mile circuit from Melrose Abbey around the Eildon Hills to Dryburgh Abbey. Perfect
for families or those keen for a more relaxed ride. (Difficulty: Easy to Moderate)
By gaining sponsors for your 4 Abbey's Cycle Ride you will be helping some of Scotland's most vulnerable children. Instigated
and run by a group of dedicated volunteers in the Borders, all funds raised from the event go directly to CHILDREN 1ST. Make your contribution and have a brilliant day out while you're at it!
Also, if you are interested in helping to organise the event, we would be very keen to hear from you.
