The 4 Abbeys Cycle Challenge is a great opportunity for both novice and experienced cyclists to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Scottish Borders.

There are two exciting routes to choose from:

  • 55 mile Challenge − which takes in the historic four abbeys of Melrose, Jedburgh, Kelso and Dryburgh
  • 11 mile Family Meander - to Scotts View and back

Both routes start and finish at the 100 Aker Wood Garden Centre in Melrose.

The annual 4 Abbeys Cycle Challenge is dedicated to raising funds for CHILDREN 1ST, one of Scotland’s leading child welfare charities, and every participant is asked to raise money through sponsorship and/ or other fundraising activities. More information is available on the CHILDREN 1ST website
