Vivien Alexander, Sam Wade & Phoebe Dingwall are three artists in the same family. They each explore, in paint and metal, the many colourful and creative ways of expressing the beauty of the natural world.
Exhibition runs from 22 March - 10 May in the Gallery. For details of opening times, visit the Tweeddale Museum page here. Vivien Alexander’s paintings define the elusive character of the Borders landscape by the shapes of the plants, flowers, birds and animals. Phoebe Dingwall takes an abstract approach in her narrative, often contrasting organic forms in nature with the formal nature of the urban grid. Sam Wade’s kinetic sculptures demonstrate the grace in motion that can be achieved by counterbalancing opposing elements, on both a large and small scale. |
