Scottish Borders Council’s Arts Service select companies from Scotland’s National Puppetry Festival, now in its 24th year, to both entertain and delight children in the Borders during the Easter holidays.
An old king … three sons … three tasks … a dark wood … a magic castle … a beautiful cat. The oldest sons are greedy and vain whilst the youngest is honest and true. When he meets the greatest challenge of all, must he destroy what he treasures most? Adapted from the short story by E. Nesbit with original music by David Trouton of Wee Stories, The White Cat is a tale of wonder and surprise, of courageous trust and of the transforming power of love, beautifully told by one actor and six finely crafted puppets. It is a wonderful treat for anyone aged 7 and over and their families. Unaccompanied adults love it too! “Stunning lovely puppet world … animated storytelling.” *****The Scotsman Age range: 7 years and over |
