This is a strenuous hike involving steep climbs or with physically demanding activities.

This route goes up “The Glen” over Kirkhope Law and descends down into Peebles by “The Gypsy Glen”. A chance to work off some of the Festive excess and to enjoy the beautiful Borders countryside wearing its winter overcoat. A total distance of 7½ miles/12km with a climb of 1,300ft/400m. Meet at the car park beside Traquair Kirk, 2½ miles/4km south of INNERLEITHEN on the B709, NT 319334.
