Discover some of the wonderful objects in our collection which have been taken ‘Out of the Ground’. Shaped by nature or human hand you can find fossils and fairy stones, a treasure trove of coins and a bomb. Try your hand at being an archaeologist and rub up a fossil. Tweeddale Museum was established by William Chambers, the founder of the famous publishing house. His aim was to create a centre of learning in his home town. The museum and gallery present a lively and diverse programme of exhibitions in this historic building throughout the year. Operning times: Monday to Friday 10 - 12 and 2 - 5pm Saturday 10 - 1 and 2 - 4pm |
