A ranger-led walk open to everyone. This is a day long hike ending with mince pies, refreshments and photos from the guided walks in 2006.

This walk will return to the Focus Centre, Galashiels for the refreshments and photos of the year's guided walks and events. A circular walk following the Southern Upland Way to Yair, walking down the bank of the Tweed to Boleside and returning to the start over the side of Gala hill. Enjoy the Borders countryside on a wonderful winter’s day (wishful thinking?). Bring a packed lunch. A distance of 9 miles/ 14 kms with a total climb of 850ft/ 200m. Under 18s must be accompanied by their parent.
