Eventful- supporting local events
Introducing eventful, a guide to organising successful events in the Scottish Borders, produced by Scottish Borders Council's Event Strategy Officer.
A new pack has just been launched to assist event organisers in the Scottish Borders area, organised into handy sections:
- Introduction
- Developing ideas
- Creating safe and legal events/ 'Lost Children' guidance
- Marketing and media
- Finance
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Checklists and forms including pre-event checklist, incident report form, risk assessment forms and daily inspection sheet. There are also examples of a completed event risk assessment form and a fire safety risk assessment form.
As every event is so very different, it would be impossible for this pack to provide you with every answer to every question you may come across. With this in mind, it has been designed to get you to think and to question your planning. It also provides you with contacts for local people and organisations who will be able to guide and advise you on specific topics.
This pack has been designed with the assistance of many experts in their fields, from Health & Safety, Legalities, Marketing, Ticketing, Funding, Press & PR….. and our gratitude goes to them all.
