Village services audit

The village services audit helps monitor the service provision for smaller settlements in the Borders region and ensure their retention and possible enhancement within the longer term.

The employment land audit is produced to monitor the supply, take up and status of employment land within the Scottish Borders.

The SPG sets out the basis for a consistent and transparent approach to implenting the Council's policy on development contributions. The SPG updates the previous guidance 2007 and 2009.

The guidance note outlines the general principles that apply where sunlight, daylight and privacy may be affected.

Snack bar operations guidance booklet

The note clarifies the legal position with regard to the operation of snack bars within the Borders and seeks to promote better standards for existing operations.

A pre-application consultation is required for larger development. The Proposal of Application notice is necessary for this process.
