Community Safety
What is Community Safety?
Community Safety can have many meanings, however in the Scottish Borders we apply the name 'community safety' in its broadest sense. Whilst recognising that the Scottish Borders is a relatively safe community, we believe that we must guard against complacency and keep our area a safe place to live, work and visit without people living in fear for their own or other people's safety.
Promoting and living in a safe community is not the responsibility of any one organisation, everyone within the community
can play a part. In recognising this, the Scottish Borders Community Safety Forum (CSF) was established in 1997.
