Summary

Our vision is that we will be able to demonstrate progress in a number of ways over

3-5 years. These include:

  • We will be able to demonstrate that people's views have been taken on board in determining future service provision and that they feel more empowered to take part.
  • There will be an increased capacity of people/communities and the voluntary sector to contribute to the social and economic wellbeing of their areas.
  • People in towns and villages (including the more remote areas) will feel more connected to the services they require.
  • People will feel that they are living in a safer environment, with a good quality of life.
  • There will be enhancements in the physical, social and economic aspects of communities - in both urban and rural areas.

The Action Plan is summarised in the downloadable document. It is selective and focuses on the 5 main priority work areas within the sphere of the given role. In doing so the Team recognises the need to be robust and practical in terms of what might be achieved over 1-3 years, and to work across all Theme Teams where relevant.
