Corporate Plan

What is the Corporate Plan?

Reviewed on an annual basis, the Corporate Plan identifies the key challenges facing the Council over the next three years and sets out our priorities and targets for service delivery over this period.  It provides:

  • A clear framework to guide decision-making and resource allocation within the Council;
  • A focus for the Council’s Business Planning process – ensuring that all of us, and the services we provide, work together to address the Council’s key challenges and contribute to our common priorities.

Partnership working is absolutely essential to the delivery of public services in the Borders.  Partnerships will help us make the best use of our resources and improve the quality of life for people living, working and doing business in the area.   To recognise this the priorities in the Plan are based on what we need to do to deliver the new Community Plan 2006-16 "Our Scottish Borders a vision for the future".

None of the priorities and actions set out in this Plan will be achieved without the continued hard work and dedication of all of us who work for the Council. We are confident that together we can improve the way the Council runs and delivers its services and provide the levels and standards of service that the people of the Borders deserve.
