Biography:
Zandra Elliot was elected to Local Government in 2007, having served for many years as a member and subsequently Chair of Hawick Community Council. She is currently serving a third term of office as Honorary Provost of Hawick and is actively involved in promoting the town.Outwith the Council, she is a management board member of Roxburgh Citizens Advice Bureau, Future Hawick, Burnfoot Futures. She was a member of the original Tower Mill Working Group (now Heart of Hawick). She is actively involved in many local community festivals and Committees.In her business life she is financial manager and Company Secretary of local construction company J & R Elliot Ltd, having joined the company in 1975.
