Biography:

Nicholas arrived in the Borders by train and just remembers riding his tricycle down Melrose station platform in the snow.A graduate in Industrial Design Engineering, Nicholas set aside his career as a clockmaker to run Save Scott's Countryside, the campaign which saw off plans for a "new settlement" on the former Abbotsford Estate: he is now determined to point out the difference between development which brings benefits to the Borders and development which is damaging.Leader of the Borders Party, Nicholas joined the Council in 2007.  He is married, with three children, and lives near Melrose.
