Councillor code of conduct

  • Councillor code of conduct - In May 2003, the Standard Commission brought in a new Code of Conduct which applies to the behaviour of all Councillors throughout Scotland.
  • Scottish Borders Council has also approved its own code of conduct for Councillors

  • The Register consists of entries made by each Elected Member of registerable interests under the Ethical Standards in Public Life etc (Scotland) Act 2000 and the (Register of Interests) Regulations 2003.
