COMMUNITY SAFETY FORUM
Constitution
1. Twenty-seven members comprising:-
(1) Six Elected Members, one of whom shall be the Depute Leader (HR), together with three members from the Administration
and two members of the Opposition;
(2) the Chief Executive and the Directors of Corporate Resources, Education and Lifelong Learning, Social Work, Planning
and Economic Development and Technical Services (or their representatives);
(3) the Divisional Commander of Lothian and Borders Police; and
(4) a representative from each of the following - the Authority Reporter, Scottish Enterprise Borders, Borders Health Board,
Borders Primary Care Trust, Borders General Hospital, Scottish Borders Tourist Board, Borders Crime Prevention Panel, Lothian
& Borders Fire Brigade, Lothian & Borders Ambulance Service, Victim Support, Procurator Fiscal Service, Sykes Europe, Scottish
Borders District Court, Domestic Abuse Forum and Borders Voluntary Youth Service Forum.
Chairman
2. The Chairman of the Forum shall be the Depute Leader (HR).
Functions Referred
3. The following functions shall stand referred to the Forum:-
(1) All matters involving the overseeing of the development and implementation of a Community Safety Strategy for the Scottish
Borders.
(2) The discussion of all matters pertaining to Community Safety.
