SECTION 6

DEVELOPMENT AND BUILDING CONTROL COMMITTEE

Constitution
1. Thirteen Members of the Council, being in addition to the Chairman and Vice-Chairman, one member from each ward.

Quorum
2. Six members of the Committee shall constitute a quorum.

Functions Referred
3. The following functions of the Council shall stand referred to the Committee:-
 (1) All matters relating to Town and Country Planning (except those referred to the Executive and those aspects of Development Control delegated to Area Committees in terms of Section XVI below).
 (2) All matters relating to the Council's responsibilities for Building Control.
 (3) All matters relating to Conservation Areas and Listed Buildings.
 (4) The preparation, and approval where appropriate, of Woodland Grant Schemes, Tree Planting Schemes and Tree Preservation Orders, and matters relating to the issue of Felling Licences.
 (5) Consideration and determination of appeals against the proposed refusal of applications for Building Warrants and Relaxations of the Building Regulations.

Functions Delegated
4. All of the functions referred to the Committee.
