Reston Railway Station

This initiative seeks to re-establish a rail station at Reston Village as part of a proposal to reintroduce a local rail service on the East Coast Main Line to serve the local communities of Berwickshire and East Lothian. The proposal is being promoted by Scottish Borders Council, East Lothian Council, SEStran (South East of Scotland Transport Partnership) and RAGES (Rail Action Group East of Scotland).

RAGES has been campaigning since 1999 to have a station re-opened at Reston in conjunction with a re-instated local service from Edinburgh to at least Berwick-upon-Tweed. During this time, RAGES has been very active in communicating with the Minister for Transport, the MSPs for the area and the local councillors to achieve this aim.

More information on the campaign, and details of how you can join it, can be found on the RAGES website.
