The A1 runs from the south, through Berwick upon Tweed towards Edinburgh.
The M8 runs between Glasgow and Edinburgh, the M9 towards Stirling, and the A9 north through Fife towards Perth.

Edinburgh is home to several festivals and of course, The Fringe. It is also famous for its Christmas and Hogmany, its shopping and a castle.
