The M6 runs from the south, through Dumfries and Galloway towards Glasgow - changing to the M74 along the way.

Dumfries and Galloway is host to the towns of Gretna (the wedding location of lore), Moffat (as in toffee) and Wigtown (the book capital of the world).

Dumfries and Galloway is the official tourist board website for the area.
