Summary
The Council has undertaken an air quality assessment programme under the strategic policy framework for air quality management published by the Scottish Government. Under this strategy each local authority has to undertake an Updating and Screening Assessment to determine the progress of their local air quality management to date. An assessment has to be submitted to the Scottish Government every three years and an annual progress report every other year until 2010.
