Principal Role:
The cleaning of schools and Council offices/establishments, established through a frequency base that requires certain work to be carried out. External contracts (continuous) are set by the client in terms of what is required. Specialist Cleaning Squad operates “body fluid” team utilised by Social Work portfolio and Lothian & Borders Police.
Impact on Public Safety:
All works carried out involving both Internal and External clients are operated within Health & Safety Legislation. Managers are trained in assessing risk analysis and staff undergo induction training which includes self-assessment of risk. All Sub-Contractors require to meet Council guidelines on insurance requirements.
