Principal Role:

The section's two primary functions are

• to provide impartial professional advice to Council officers and to Elected Members on all property and building matters and to advise on the best ways to use the Council’s Property Assets
• to operate as the Council’s in-house architectural practice to design and procure alteration, refurbishment, extension and new construction work to Council properties

In addition, the Architects perform feasibility studies for requested works, project manage works and supervise contracts, provide a CDM-C role and carry out Disability Discrimination Act access audits.
