What we do:
The Section is responsible for business planning to address the requirements of the Council's Single Outcome Agreement and performance management along with the development and monitoring of Council policy within the Technical Services department. It co-ordinates media and public relations in conjunction with the Council's Corporate Communication Unit, monitors comments and complaints and ensures compliance with equalities legislation, the Freedom of Information Act and the Data Protection Act. It also maintains and develops the Department's service pages on the Council's web site.
