Principal Role:

The Section is responsible for management development and performance issues within the Department in accordance with the requirements of Best Value along with the development and monitoring of Council policy within Technical Services. It co-ordinates media and public relations for the department, monitors comments and complaints and ensures compliance with the Freedom of Information Act. It also maintains and develops the Department's service pages on the Council's web site.
