Floodsax available from Council contact centres

Limited stocks of Floodsax are now available to purchase from Council Contact Centres.

Floodsax are an innovative self-inflating flood defence system.  They are vacuum packed to ease transportation, storage and to maintain shelf life.  The semi-porous inner liner contains hundreds of absorbent crystals which absorb water to 90% capacity in just 3 minutes.  Once the water is in there, it stays there and the bags act just like sandbags to keep floods at bay.  They are designed so they mould into doorways to keep floodwater out.

Packs of five lightweight, vacuum packed Floodsax are available for £32.50 from Council Contact Centres.  The packaging should not be opened until the contents are needed, to prolong the shelf-life of the Floodsax (five years when unopened).
