Summary
This plan has been developed by the Scottish Borders Civil Contingencies Liaison Group and is based on the principles of "Integrated Emergency Management". It is intended to provide a generic framework to allow Scottish Borders Council, along with it's partner agencies, to respond effectively to any major civil emergency or indeed to any lesser emergency requiring a multi agency response.
Part 1 - Outlines the aims and objectives and the basic command and control structures.
Part 2 - Outlines the services provided by each department of Scottish Borders Council.
Part 3 - Sets out the roles and responsibilities of the emergency services and health services.
Part 4 - Contains details of the voluntary services.
Part 5 - Gives details of other supporting agencies.
Part 6 - Outlines additional information relating to an incident at Torness Power Station
Part 7 - Details the framework to be adopted for the recovery phase of any incident.
